Welcome! I want my dancers to understand flamenco, not just learn choreographies. Therefore, I am excited to be introducing a new curriculum for 2010. Each class will build upon itself with technique and flamenco philosophy. The goal is that by the end of the year you will not only perform the choreographies you have learned in a student recital, but have a concrete knowledge of a particular aspect of flamenco: special technique, cuadro skills, improvisation, etc.
Don't worry, you can still join at the beginning of any session throughout the year. But if you start at the beginning of the year, by the end you will be AMAZING.
~Rina

TESTIMONIALS
"I have studied flamenco for years and with several different teachers, and Rina is by far the best at explaining how to work with a live singer and guitarist. She has the ability to break down the signals and dynamics between the dancer, singer, and guitarist, into simple terms which all of her students can understand. The result is that we are much less intimidated by live, and even spontaneous, performance. She also teaches authentic, yet doable, choreography, which her students can (with practice of course) look forward to proudly performing." ~ Susie B.
"Rina's teaching techinique and infinite patience gives her students, young and old (I'm one of the old ones!) the skills and confidence to attain performance level, and for her advanced students, professional status. Classes are always fun!" ~Rita W.
"Once you begin dancing flamenco with Rina, you'll never stop. She brings out the best qualities in you with her patience , support, and guidance." ~Mary Lou T.
"Rina teaches us more than a bunch of steps-- compas, palmas, structure, lingo, etc.-- so we don't come out of there feeling like wind-up dolls. Her choreography is always fresh and her dance style is very feminine, tons of aire, very graceful." ~Victoria R.
